With that being said, some of the puzzles were similar to puzzles I’ve seen in the past, so they weren’t too bad. I have played every Nancy Drew game and found this one could be difficult at times but definitely not the toughest It’s definitely not the game I’d recommend for a first-time mystery solver.

It takes awhile to figure out how to not get lost in the forest and to find your way around the castle. I personally loved the exploring in this game. You’ll get to explore the castle as well as the forest surrounding the castle. Setting - A dark, maze-like castle in Germany. The background music especially adds to the “spooky” feeling. Some of the Nancy Drew games in the past have had a haunt-like feel to them and this is definitely one of them. It’s up to you as Nancy Drew to figure out what or who is behind this monster, before you become the next victim. When talk of the monster is brought up, everyone is passive.
The monster only strikes and captures young women and is greatly feared by the town. Legend dates the monster stories back many, many years. You, as Nancy Drew, are sent to an old German Castle to investigate monster sightings on and around the castle grounds. Nancy Drew, The Captive Curse, is the 24th game in the series and is an adventure point-and-click game.
